PVG to YYZ

This week is influential. I moved from China to Canada and live there for now. The life is a big change for me but since I need to take a plane to go across the pacific ocean, I gonna write a blog about the plane what so ever.
My family chose Cathay Pacific as the airline of this trip. We take off from Shanghai (PVG) and land in HongKong first. It is just a two-hour flight. The plane isn't too tight and the time is short.
The plane 's model of this flight is the A330 of Cathay Pacific. It is an old plane who served more than 5 years.


Shortly after, we arrived at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). 

                            

                            

After landing, my family and I went to the boarding gate of the plane to Toronto. Suddenly, I felt so touched and familiar with this place. After thinking for five minutes, I found that it was the same boarding gate like the one that I went on a Cathay Pacific B747-400 to the USA. I was 7 then. Because of that trip, I was amazed by that Boeing 747; Because of that trip, I fell in love with aviation. And now, I went back to the same place where all the beautiful things started.


                        

Looking out the window, I found the plane that goona took us to Canada. The new 777 of Cathay Pacific. 

                                       

It was the top plane of Cathay Pacific before they bought the A350. So the plane was extremely luxury.

It was a smooth and comfortable flight. The view outside was outstanding.

                             


                                             

After 15 hours (it took longer than take off from Shanghai because of flying to Hongkong was the opposite of flying to Canada) We arrived at YYZ. Wish life is good from there.

FSX from Microsoft in E3

I couldn't describe how exciting it is after I looked at the news of the E3 this morning. The Microsoft announced their new flight simulation software. The last version of FSX was published a long time ago, I thought the project is over! But, after watching the video of the new FSX, I just cried in the room. It will be on the market in 2020 on PC and XBox.

Route Evaluation | Professional | China Eastern Airlines A330 First Class Shanghai Pudong to Singapore Changi



Today, I will take everyone to experience the first class tour of China Eastern Airlines A330 from Shanghai Pudong International Airport PVG to Singapore Changi International Airport SIN.

The delightful and pleasant trip began at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport Terminal T1.

Waiting for the slow airport security check until entering the waiting area.

Take a spy on A30, it is the "sunglasses man" of the China Eastern Airlines, the A350, which makes me very jealous for never fly on an A350. The 'sunglasses man' does not fly international routes now. Looking to the left, it is the Airbus 330 that I will take today is waiting peacefully. I didn’t see any Boeing today.

Check the leg room after boarding, personally, the design of non-anti-fish bones is still quite nice, especially if the family travels together.

After landing, it is the world of Singapore Airlines A380.

Check at FlightRadar24 again and find that the plane we took has been temporarily changed before take off.

After landing, I went to the Singapore Ferris Wheel, the landmark of the local city, the scenery is really beautiful.


After staying for 3 days, It is time to leave at Singapore Changi International Airport T3. By the way, Changi Airport is really big, and the facilities are the best. After all, people have been rated as Best Airport (Bien aeroport) for 4 consecutive years.

Boeing 747-100(3)

Last time, we talked about the engines issue of Boeing 747. Although the team immediately work on the engines after the exhibition, there is still a big problem. No company can provide the engine that can left even half of the weight of Boeing 747. Pratt & Whitney Group got one engine just right for lifting the plane. But it is still in test process. It is the JT9D.



This turbo fan provide low noise and amazing push by it brand new design.



But it seems they hope too much. In the test, the engine was shaking and the "Bang" sounded. No one knows where is the problem. 16 engines were destroyed. Boeing couldn't wait anymore, they need to prove to the world. In February 9th, 1969, test pilot Jack Walldell get on the test plane. At 11:00 AM, RA-001 drive to the runway.



It was the moment of truth, Jack pulled up the nose. All went well before Jack collect the flaps, there was a strange sound.





But every things went well and the plane landed.



Boeing now need to prove that the plane is safety enough to carry passengers.
The test were beautiful.


But engines problems come again. Boeing thinks it is time to let Pratt & Whitney Group worry about that. They asked the president of Pratt & Whitney Group to the 747 and flew. Jack shows the issue and the president were extremely afraid after two engine Bang. He said:" I got it. Fine." The reason of flame was found.
After the first plight from Panam take of the first 747, jumbo jet were all over the world.

Last time, you are talking that Boeing get the contract of B747. That is a great news? Actually not. Boeing Company at that period of time is actually nearly break because of the supersonic plane. So,it is nearly impossible for them to actually hand in the plane in time. But, engineers of Boeing still want to try their best. They started immediately. But now, there are going to turn a wooden model to a real plane. As the blueprint getting more and more, they soon found that space was not enough. Boeing took a emergency act: build a factory in Washington and named it Everett. In fact, it is the biggest building on earth. Factory Everett is now still making Boeing 747. Bad news is still coming! Because there were 25 airlines booked 747, they need to build in mass production. But, at that period of time, the cost of 747 in one day is 200000 pounds. But there is no money in the pocket. 

Airlines will only pay when they plane is send to them. Nobody known if Boeing will still there before 747 is ready. The Boeing is in a rush, but they finally built the plane finsh two days before the present day. In 30th September 1968, the world finally meet the 747. But actually, the plane will not fly. The engine is actually a fake one. 

The time behind the 747's real fly has only 54 days.
Will Boeing made it? We will see it.
上回说到,我们讲了波音公司拿到了他们的订单。这是一个好消息吗?其实并不是,波音在当时已经接近破产。所以准时交付飞机,几乎是不太可能的。但是飞机的工程师们是不会轻言放弃的。他们立即开始计划,但是把一架木制飞机模型变成一架能上天的飞机也并不是那么的简单。在办公室蓝图成山的堆积后,他们将房间用光了。波音进行紧急处理,在华盛顿建造了地表最大的建筑物,艾弗雷特厂房,一直到现在,哪里都在建造747呢!但是,在那段时间里,一天的花销就有200000英镑之多,但却没钱入账。要知道,航空公司也是到货才付款的。没人知道,在747应该交付之日,波音还在不在那里。波音上下一团乱,但在发布会前两天,还是装好了飞机。1968年9月30号,全球终于见到了747。其实啊,这架飞机是不会飞的,引擎只不过是个装饰罢了,在距离正式试飞54天的时间里,波音能完成任务吗?让我们拭目以待。

 The plane that save the Boeing Company (Do you know that B747 is going to be a A380 ate first?)

When you go to the airport and sitting in the terminal, seeing a Boeing 747-the world first large body jet is taxing outside will be really a excited thing because you will easily to tell the different from Boeing 747 to other plane.


But do you know that this plane also save Boeing from breakout. In 1965, most of the aircraft company are focused on their supersonic aircraft including Boeing, so the money left for the back up plan B747 is so poor. But after some time, people started to found that the supersonic plane were to noisy and not environmental-friendly which make Boeing nearly to break. So their only hope is the Boeing 747.


But to make order for Boeing 747 is not so easy, but the designer Heidemann take a secret weapon to make the airline buy the plane. He use a 20 foot clothesline to show that how wide the plane is going to be, and it was the startling peace of the theater. Everyone is so shock about how wide will the plane will be, and soon Boeing get their first contract.


    
当你坐在航站楼里,看着窗外波音747 ——世界上最容易辨认的宽体客机在跑道上滑行,你一定会她漂亮的外观所震撼,因为这可是天空中的女王。但是你知道这架飞机还拯救了波音公司吗?在1965年,几乎所有的飞机制造公司,都把自己大部分资金放在了超音速飞机上,波音也不例外。所以747就是为一个备用计划,资金就少的可怜。但是过了一段时间,人们开始发现超音速飞机利大于弊,他的噪音以及对环境的污染,远远超过了超音速飞行的便捷。所以波音的希望就只剩下了747。但是想为747争取到订单并不容易,设计师海德曼再出发去争取订单之前,带了一件秘密武器。他用一个20英尺长的棉线在众人面前展现了这架飞机将会有多宽。在座的所有人都被惊呆了,很快波音公司就得到了他们的第一笔订单。

As a true aerial giant, the Boeing 747 has revolutionized air transport. She has more passengers than any plane and operates at a low cost. Due to its large size and large capacity, it is called a "large jet passenger plane." She has promoted changes in the world's airlines with huge size and operating economy.
